Kim Delaney was an American actress. Her most well-known role is because of her part as detective Diane Russell, in the ABC series NYPD Blue. For this she won the Emmy Award. She is also known for her roles in the drama series All My Children Philly CSI: Miami and Army Wives. Delaney was born as the sole child of her mother who was a homemaker and high-ranking executive of the United Auto Workers. Delaney lived most of her life with her four brothers. The idea of becoming a court reporter in childhood but started modelling while in high school eventually garnering commercials following her move from New York. In 1981, she starred as an innocent teenager in the film All My Children. The career of Delaney has been filled with numerous television films and dramas. The way she lives her life, unlike her professional life hasn't had a happy and successful. The actress, who is skilled and beautiful, has battled addiction to alcohol prior to that. The marriages she has had ended in failure two times. In 2005 she lost the custody of her only son.
